Over the years Funko has based their pop figures on many of our favourite shows The Office, Stranger Things, & Big Bang Theory just to name a few. But one of the TV shows that Funko are currently neglecting, is the hit drama series This Is Us. This is why I (being such a huge fan and an avid Pop Funko collector) took it upon myself to start a petition for Funko to make a line of Pop figures based on the popular NBC drama.
Since it first came out back in 2016, the show has catapulted to popularity and secured a cult following of devout fans (including myself). I think there’s a strong argument to be made that its one of the best, if not the best drama to come out of the 2010s. Which is why its a bit strange that Funko hasn’t based any Pop Funko figures on them sooner.
We could see all of our favourite characters turned into Funk Pops; Jack, Rebecca, The Big 3 and even Toby! Also, since the series is set in so many different era’s, if the figures do well (which I’m sure they will) there are so many places they could take it. We could see the Pearson family throughout the ages with both young and old variants of the characters. There are many different exclusive designs they could come up with. One that springs to mind is Jack in the Vietnam war this would translate very well into a Funko Pop figure.
With the show recently being confirmed to end after season 6, what better way to commemorate the show’s success than bringing out a Pop Funko line? It makes perfect sense to capitalise on the shows current popularity.
